… well okay… maybe not quite.
Like many others, I’ve just finished my final year at Uni. Which means no more studying (well okay, I doubt I’ll ever stop learning things, but no more pressure to learn this and do that… for now, at least). And it means that I’m kind of at a crossroads in my life. Where do I go from here?
I figure the best thing to do right now is ask God what He wants me to do. Where He wants me to go.
While I’m doing that, I also have a bit more free time on my hands. And I was reminded that I’ve been neglecting this poor blog. Hence the post.
It’s also November, which means that NaNoWriMo is in full swing my now, and I, having waited to finish Uni work before starting, have yet to put pen to paper (or fingers to the keyboard). So my total wordcount is on zero.
For those who might be reading this and going ‘huh?’, the basic idea behind NaNoWriMo is to encourage people to write by challenging them to write 50,000 words in a month. The month of November.
So yes, it’s the 9th already and I have 0 words. Yay me!
Cat has decided to do it this year, so I’m quite happy about that. She has more words than me, but at least we’ll be able to encourage each other on, etc.
So this is the official warning. I’m NaNoWriMo-ing this month. Ack.
Hopefully I’ll also remember to keep posting updates here to say how I’m going with that.
I have the vaguest idea of a story at the moment, but that’s okay, I seem to write best when I’m not entirely sure where I’m going with something. I say that my subconscious is smarter than my conscious mind. Oh well.
That said, with Uni done, I’m looking forward to be able to spend more time on my writing and art and things like that.
Christmas is also fast approaching, so I guess I should be thinking about that as well.
